Testimonials from previous participants:

"When I mentioned to a friend that I was doing a “Yoga and Art” weekend she furrowed her brow and asked, “  How does that work, surely they are not connected?” Absolutely not the case! Jane focussed on the symbiosis existing between the two disciplines. The emphasis on personal connection, on complete relaxation and peace whilst remaining aware, are all essential attributes for creativity. Working with self, physically and mentally, and then using this observation to draw from within and from life, was a fantastic experience. We had fun and the opportunity to make new friends was an added bonus. It really was time well spent. Thank you, Jane".

"I recently enjoyed a ‘Yoga and Art’ weekend with Yoga teacher Jane Piddington. I had been a little apprehensive due to a back injury but with Jane’s expert guidance and plenty of warm ups I found I was able to do most of the postures with ease and by Sunday felt ready for anything! The creative art exercises were great fun and we were all able to produce some interesting and expressive works of art. Yoga is a wonderful medium for encouraging creativity and it was a wonderful opportunity to play with art. Well done Jane and I look forward to your next workshop".

Brian Cooper Weekend

glastonbury yoga workshop

glastonbury yoga workshop
with Brian Cooper in St. Mary’s Hall, Glastonbury
November 20th and 21st
Saturday 11am to 4pm & Sunday 10am to 3pm

exploring the roots of yoga

In Hatha yoga there are three main obstacles to the free flow of prana. These are called Granthis or knots and they must be undone or dissolved before the energy released in hatha yoga practice can ascend through the chakras to the crown chakra. Each of the three Granthis can be dissolved by the use of the correct Bandhas. In this workshop we look at how asana practice incorporating mudra, bandha, pranayama and internal energy visualization can be used to allow the free movement of prana.

Cost: £70 for the weekend, £38 for one day - you are strongly advised to take part in the whole weekend where possible.
£20 deposit secures a place with the remainder to be paid by October 20th.
Early booking recommended as places are limited.
